El Reno Informational Picket.

On March 24th, I attended a picket out at El Reno Oklahoma.  The picket was sponsored by Local 171 El Reno.

 

The call was sent out across the country asking for supporters to attend the picket, Local 148 answered that call and asked if I would attend, I accepted and am proud to have been given the opportunity to represent Local 148.

 

Approximately 200 people showed up from across the country to show their support for the Local  171 El Reno in trying to inform the public about staff shortages, and underfunding the Bureau has been experienceing for the past couple of years.

 

Bill Gillette our North East Regional Vice President was also in attendance from our region, and appreciated the fact that Local 148  was able to send me to support Bill and our cause.

 

I would like to see an informational picket staged here at Lewisburg in order to bring the dangers and hazards we're all faced with to light of the public.  I don't think the general public truly understands how bad our situation is.  To quote a sign I read at the picket:
